We left Glasgow this morning. After an hour on the train, we made it to Edinburgh! I am in love with this city. Our hotel was only like 2 blocks from the train station so we walked in the rain.

We ate lunch at our hotel and it was great. Mom had the midday tea option and chose to be adventurous by ordering the smoke salmon sandwich. I tried it! It wasn’t terrible but she didn’t eat it all haha it was too smoky for her 😂🤷🏻♀️. Her meal did come with a bunch of tiny desserts though so that was really cool. Gram and I got the beef casserole and it was heavenly.

Mom and I went on an underground ghost tour this evening. Our tour guide was the red witch and she was fantastic. We laughed so much with her. Mom got to pretend to be a witch and I got to pretend to be a criminal. We saw Greyfriar’s Kirkyard and learned that there was like 200,000 people (I think that is what she said) buried there because it was a plague pit site. There was stones and plaques for people who died before the US was even it’s own country. We stopped for baked potatoes before coming back to the hotel. Tomorrow brings new adventures but for tonight, I’m going to sleep. Oh! We all get our own beds for the next 4 nights so that’s super exciting.
