We are headed home! Thankfully, we brought an extra bag to pack our new shit in because otherwise, we wouldn’t be bringing anything new home. Or we’d be leaving old stuff. The “new stuff” bag is packed just as full as the other ones.
So our flight out of Edinburgh was late. We missed our Chicago flight because of it but we got booked onto one that left a little later. Mom and Gram still sat together and I sat one row behind them. There’s nobody sitting on my right and on the last seat on the left, which is cool.
Landed in Chicago! It’s wet and foggy here. Our flight to Omaha is now currently delayed but I’m counting it as being okay because it’ll give us time to get where we need to go. I’m tired of planes and would almost rather just drive home at this point.
We made it home but our bags did not. They were still in London when we landed in Omaha. But they should be delivered directly to mom’s house on Tuesday!
By the time we got to Kearney, switched cars and people around, and I got to bed, we were just at 26 hours. International travel is not for the light hearted. No pictures today but I will upload some of the gifts in the next few days as we give them out!
