So we think we have a plan.
We will be in Ireland 8 whole days! In that time, we want to see at least: a bunch of castles, multiple churches, a few museums, a couple of waterfalls, some beaches (surfing lessons for 2 of us at one of them), a gaol, a really old book, a couple of places they make alcohol, many places to drink alcohol, a cave (but only the same 2 as before), a rope bridge, some big cliffs from a boat, a bunch of cool looking rocks, some sort of ancient monument, a tattoo parlor (again, same 2), and we don’t know what else. But we have a list.
The plan is to travel 1,200 miles in those 8 days… driving a compact car with a stick shift… on the wrong side of the road… with the steering wheel on the other side of the car. No worries!
We should be good, because we have a plan. Stick to the red roads as much as possible and try to stay off the yellow roads. There are a lot of them – they look like driveways, and we would probably get lost.
We have included a photo of our map! You can see the darker line – that is the route we will be taking. The sticky notes are places and things we are planning on seeing. And yes, the map is huge. No, we aren’t taking it with us. But, we have discussed printing out driving directions before we go. Any opinions on that are definitely welcome.
